Does this apply to you?

Without divulging the obvious, these quotes I came across today SCREAMED at my soul. Yes screamed. As I see an ongoing battle, I wonder if I am adding water or fuel to the fire. I know the reason I am having a hard time with it all is because it hurts my heart. Yet my head reminds me to be the bigger person, state the facts and pray hard for God to show them the light. I don't always have to be the one to fix it and maybe this time that is not what God is calling me to do. So my words of wisdom, when you don't know what else to do, stop, take a breath and give it to God. It's not like he gave me the title "Mrs. Fixer of all people".

Bucket List Shoot

I am a "yes" kind of girl. If you ask me anything, I will usually say yes. When a local photographer asked if I could squeeze this shoot in, I said the only word that comes natural to me. And on this morning, I am thankful I said yes.

With my rubber boots on, both cameras ready, I was ready to help this man cross something off his bucket list. A real bucket list. Yes he immediately inspired me to create one!
It was a quick, just like race horses are suppose to be. I could of easily stayed all day but I am pretty sure Johnny Keefer and the horses would not of appreciated it as much as I would. Yes it was a small world that my hubby and the owner of the facility fish together and actually have grown up together. Small world.

Next on his bucket list: A fox hunt
(Funny:When he first told me, I thought he was talking about Fox Network. So I thought he was attending a hunt sponsored by Fox Network. When I asked what type of animal was he looking for, he just looked at me like I was silly and said Fox of course. OOPS!)

Fireworks 2013

Everyday, learn something new. Last night, I learned finally how to shoot "slow", use my tripod and remote trigger thingy!
All thanks to this little post http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/fireworks.htm

Now, I wish I would of stocked up on fireworks so I could practice more. Next project: Sparklers!

For the love of Summer and Watermelon

IF you are in Texas, then you know that in order to survive summer one must have watermelon. So without further ado, I decided my free mini session would be a watermelon photo shoot! Super excited about all the props and most of all the yummy watermelon!

Glimpse of my FB "only a few spots" left ad
Yes those are my precious little ones!

Yes it is still drying...took an old suit case and painted it Watermelon. Then took my trustworthy can of chalkboard paint and blue painter's tape and made a stripe on my watermelon. Wasn't sure this was going to work but as you can see it did!

Now to charge my batteries, cut up watermelon and rest up for tomorrow's very busy mini photo shoot! Previews soon!

Adding a little splash to my photography

I am always looking for a new "great" idea. A while back, I came across Wish Photography, an amazing photographer in Utah. Yes if she was in Texas, I would follow her everywhere! So I took her idea and tried.

I am super thankful for the friends that took a chance and met me at 6 am to try this. Without these amazing ladies, I would not have had the confidence to try this or continue all morning getting "one more shot". So thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Enjoy and please remember this is my first attempt and will continue to learn and update! To see more updates, check me out on Facebook: www.facebook.com/cstarphotos
